Proposals for the German Health Practice Collection

Applicants, please note: Fill in every field of this application form and keep the information precise and short, with max. 5 pages. Sign the form together with a representative of your partner organisation (both signatures are obligatory), scan and submit to ghpc@giz.de. In addition to the signed document, also send us the WORD-version, please.

The information in this form will be assessed and ranked (in relation to other proposals) by the GHPC editorial board, which consists of the responsible BMZ Thematic Team and representatives of GDC experts working in programmes in partner countries. You can check our website to find out about current proposals at www.german-practice-collection.org

We will contact you as soon as it has been decided which proposals are accepted for documentation and peer review.

5. Why should this approach be documented in the German Health Practice Collection?

Describe in what ways this approach is innovative or representative of the ‘state of the art’ in its field; explain how it contributes to raising the profile of German Development Cooperation in its field (refer to policy briefs, sector strategy papers and the GDC profile in health or HIV, respectively).

 

6. What evidence on outputs and outcomes is available to show that this approach is effective and that it has been scaled up to cover a significant proportion of the partner country’s population?

List all internal monitoring and evaluation reports, external evaluations and other studies that provide evidence for the effectiveness of this approach. Also, please explain how long this approach has been implemented and to what level/coverage it has been scaled up.

 

7.     In what way does the approach conform with the following GHPC criteria: transferable to other contexts; participatory and empowering; gender-sensitive; cost-effective and sustainable?

 

8. Which existing documentation materials (studies, reports, photos, films (or other documentation) could be used as background for the proposed publication?

Please note that – should your programme be selected for documentation – you will be requested to provide 15 to 20 high resolution photographs of your programme context and your programme in action.

 

9.     Which didactic or operational materials (manuals, IEC material, protocols) or similar can be made available for downloading from the GHPC online toolbox?

 

10. What itinerary and schedule would you recommend for the writer, when visiting your country to collect material for this GHPC report? Whom should he or she meet and interview? Which sites should he or she visit?

Give an indication of the places the writer charged with the documentation of this approach should visit, interviews to be done, the persons who should be interviewed and sites/events/activities that should be visited/witnessed and documented.

 

11. At which occasions, to which audiences and in which language (in addition to English) would your partner organisation and you like to distribute the resulting publication?
